Horseback riding lessons and horse leasing
Students learn the basics here. This involves communication with the horse, respect for their health and comfort, and safety for both horse and rider. Students who want to go on to compete are referred to another barn.
The horses Russells' Acres acquire ownership of remain in our custody.
Leasing often begins with lessons. Students learn, not only to ride, but to also safely handle, groom, and tack up. Once a student demonstrates that they have a good rapport with a particular horse and can safely handle it, they then have the opportunity to lease it if they want to.
Clients sign a release form that:
1. Has them acknowledge the inherent risk of equine activities,
2. Provides emergency contact information, and
3. Let's us know if we can post photos of them with our horses.
